Announcing the "Paws Here Coffee Shop"!
We are very excited to announce the opening of our newest addition, "Paws Here Coffee Shop". This exciting new venture will cater to our customers and their dogs. The concept first came about as a way to perfectly blend our passion and love for dogs along with the art of making and serving fine espresso. "Paws Here" will be serving one of the top Pacific Northwest coffees and offering gourmet pastries for people and homemade decadent treats and beverages for dogs. All of our coffee beverages will be served with eco-friendly products. Our primary focus is on providing quality food and drink as well as offering a unique coffee experience for customers to enjoy with their pets. Please join us on Memorial Day weekend to sample some yummy coffee beverages and tasty baked goods served from our professional coffee cart. While the coffee shop is still undergoing construction, our full-service coffee cart will be up and running, serving delicious beverages during our 20th anniversary event. Once construction is completed, our coffee shop will be located right next to the main office and is definitely one place you'll want to "Paws".
During our four-day customer appreciation extravaganza, Tomeka and Jennifer, two of our newest spa fitness coaches, will be offering a 5 minute introductory massage for any pet that needs to relax, rejuvenate, or just be pampered. During this weekend we will be offering this special service to new spa clients only. These ladies will truly spoil your pet all weekend by using a variety of strokes to melt away stress and tension. They are also well educated in the art of canine massage and know a variety of techniques that will have your pet begging for more! We have limited spaces available so let our office staff know when you check in if you are a new spa client. We will get your pet set up to receive this wonderful spa introduction, and send home a report card telling you how much they enjoyed it!
Friday May 28th will kick off with tastings of our exclusive Paradise Pet Lodge wine. We will have 4 different, exquisite varietals for you to taste. Our 2008 Chardonnay will bring your palate forward to spring with its apple and pear flavors and bright golden color. The 2008 Riesling, semi-sweet and very refreshing, is crisp and cool. It pairs great with fresh fruit and berries along with spicy summer salads and seafood. Our 2008 Sunset on the river will get you set for summer! It won't be long before you can enjoy sipping on its cherry and raspberry flavors in the warm summer sunshine, a perfect wine to enjoy while lounging on the back deck. And our 2007 Loony Red with black cherry and plum flavors is a perfect complement for steak or ribs grilled on the barbeque. We will also be offering a variety of cheeses, crackers and appetizers during tasting.

Monday May 31st gets under way bright and early so we can fill the day with fun events for both you and your pet! Start with a visit to our grooming booth where your pet can receive a free nail trim or Petattoo, a temporary paint tattoo for your pet. A few of the ladies from our grooming salon will be on hand and can answer any questions you have relating to your pets' coat and condition. Once your pet is all spruced up, beautified, and ready to go, our Paradise photographer Julie Austin will be ready for your pet to strike a pose. Julie has been coming to Paradise once a month to participate in the Pets of Paradise Photo Shoot; capturing priceless pictures of pets on vacation with us. Pick your setting, pick your pose and pick your picture! The photo shoot package includes 3 digital files of your choice that can be downloaded and printed as photos and access to the Julie Austin Photography website and online gallery of 10 proofs of your choice of your pet's pictures. As the afternoon sun peaks through the clouds it will be time to enjoy some of our famous barbeque sauces, seasonings and dressings! The Baarstads will be preparing delicious BBQ food all afternoon for you to enjoy. We will even be smoking some beef bones for our canine guests. If the sun chooses not to make a showing during our big weekend, we won't let the rain dampen our parade. We are fully prepared with tents and awnings; you never know what kind of weather you are going to get when you live in the great northwest! In addition, we will have our Whiskey Flats BBQ sauce available for purchase in four mouth-watering flavors. The Honey Dijon provides a sweet mustard flavor that brings out the luscious flavors of chicken or pork. Our Sweet Onion Habenero has a smoky hot flavor that lingers on your tongue, perfect for glazing ribs and roasts. The Classic Bourbon has a tangy finish that goes will with any type of meat or veggies that come fresh off the grill. Our Old Fashioned Hickory Smoke has the most original, down-home, BBQ flavor; use it as a rub or marinade for meat that is smoked, not grilled. The flavors are fantastic!

For those who missed it on Friday, or who need another chance to sip on our beautifully crafted wines, we will be set up for another great day of wine tasting of our exclusive, privately-labeled Paradise Pet Lodge wine. There is no better way to end the day than with a massage, for you! Alicia recently graduated from Spectrum Center School of massage and has her chair ready for you! After your tummy is full of good BBQ and delicious wine, let the magic power in Alicia's fingers melt away any lingering stress. She will be offering complimentary 5 minute chair massages to anyone willing to experience the effects of calming touch and soothing massage strokes and asking the question, "has it already been 5 minutes?"
